The old mill has bags of character and offers various sized dormitories as well as private doubles and family rooms. We also run activity camps every week throughout the summer months. There are several common room and an outdoor BBQ area for socialising, two large kitchens for self-catering and a comfortable conference room. There is also a large car-park. Russagh Mills Hostel and Adventure Centre is set in a rural location only a mile from the market town of Skibbereen. The building was renovated from a two hundred year old grain mill in the late eighties by the owner Michael Murphy, a highly accomplished outdoor enthusiast, a member of the first and subsequent successful expeditions to Mt. Everest, as well as being one of the top Irish canoe coaches. The centre has enjoyed working with and accommodating groups and holidaymakers with its qualified and experienced staff for almost two decades.
